Minnetonka, MN - According to a customer survey conducted in April of 2006, 94.7% of tax professionals who purchased TheTaxBook expressed satisfaction with the first edition of the publication. In addition to the high customer satisfaction rating, the survey indicates that customers who used TheTaxBook prefer it by a margin of 2-1 over the closest competitor.

"Our experienced staff worked hard to produce the highest quality publication of its kind on the market" said Joe Meyer, sales and marketing manager for Tax Materials, Inc., publishers of TheTaxBook. "We're grateful to our customers for all the positive feedback. The response to our first edition has been sensational, and we're confident that we have set a new industry standard for fast answer tax reference books."

The survey also shows that customers appreciate having information about planning and compliance for individual and small business taxpayers all in one publication. "The industry trend is to split a publication into fragments so the publisher can have more books listed in their brochure," said Bradley J. Imsdahl, co-author for TheTaxBook line of publications. "While our competitors force their customers to purchase as many as four books to get information for individuals, small business, tax compliance, and planning, we provide it all in the Deluxe Edition of TheTaxBook. We'll stake our success on providing the most useful publications possible instead of trying to clever-market customers into buying multiple volumes that contain duplicate information."

"All of our authors are practicing tax professionals, which is unique in the industry," said Paul Roberts, co-author of TheTaxBook line of publications. "There's certainly a place for academic analysis of tax law, but that's not what a practitioner needs in the heat of the season when a question arises about a client's tax return. Our publication will guide a tax professional to the answer fast, with the right information presented in plain language that even a client can understand. Our success is based on knowing what information a tax professional wants, and presenting it to them in a way that works in their practice."

Much of the popularity of TheTaxBook can be attributed to services provided by Tax Materials, Inc., on the company's website. The Message Board at www.thetaxbook.com has logged 570,000 hits since its inception in June of 2005, and tax professionals have posted over 17,000 questions and answers, with more than 10,000 during the 2006 filing season alone. Updates, industry news, and summaries of new tax legislation are also available on the website, free of charge. The free services have created a loyal community of tax professionals who have come to rely on the website for tax news and assistance from other tax professionals.
