Tax Materials, Inc. has Shipped the First Edition of TheTaxBook.

December 12th, 2005: The authors at Tax Materials, Inc. have successfully published and shipped the first edition of TheTaxBook. All of the orders received with a guaranteed ship date of Dec. 15th (if orders were received before 10/15) left the shipping department 3 days early! In fact, Tax Materials, Inc. is well ahead of their shipping and production schedule. Orders received now will ship in about a week. Shipping our books in mid-December allows TheTaxBook authors to include all of the new tax laws effective for the 2005 tax season.

As a reminder, TheTaxBook authors are the ones whose work you have known and trusted for the last 17 years:

2002: Quickfinder was privately owned and operated in Minnesota. Five authors - Imsdahl, Roberts, Parker, McLaughlin, and Weiner - were in charge of writing, editing, and publishing the three Quickfinder books.

December 2003: Practitioners Publishing Company (PPC) acquired Quickfinder. Imsdahl, Roberts, Parker and Weiner worked for PPC. Louise McLaughlin did not work for PPC post acquisition.

2004: Imsdahl, Roberts, Parker, and Weiner, along with PPC editors, wrote and edited the Quickfinder Handbooks.

2005: After leaving PPC, Imsdahl, Roberts, Parker, and Weiner reunite with McLaughlin to form a new company called Tax Materials, Inc. None of the authors were restricted from starting this business by their agreements with PPC.

The five Tax Materials Inc. authors represent the entire editorial staff in place at the time PPC acquired Quickfinder in December of 2003.
